SeaWorld CEO quits after just seven months
SeaWorld Entertainment Inc is on the lookout for yet another chief executive.
Although the company has made big strides to turnaround the business, all is not well in the boardroom.
CEO Gus Antorcha has resigned after just seven months in the job.
Antorcha was previously COO at Carnival Cruise Line.
He is replaced by CFO Marc Swanson as interim chief.
The change takes effect immediately with Antorcha hinting at a ‘different approach.’
"Mr. Antorcha informed the Company that his resignation was due to disagreements over the board’s involvement in the decision making at the Company," SeaWorld said in a filing.
The board of directors has instructed an executive search firm to help in the recruitment of a permanent replacement.
