Security scare on diverted Jet2 flight
A Jet2 plane was escorted by RAF aircraft late on Wednesday over an unspecified security threat.
The Dalaman to Manchester holiday flight was diverted to Stansted Airport and met by police on landing.
The RAF said Typhoon aircraft were launched to intercept the aircraft ‘that was causing concern’.
After short time police determined there was no threat on board.
“The runway was closed for a short time but has now reopened,” London Stansted Airport said in a statement.
