Several guests injured after river cruise ship collides with wall
At least 17 people suffered injuries after a river cruise ship slammed into a wall on the Danube.
It happened at Aschach an der Donau in Austria.
It is thought the vessel lost power and crashed into a wall beside a lock.
Details are still scant.
The Bulgarian vessel hasn’t been publicly identified but was carrying around 140 mostly German passengers from Bavaria to the Austrian city of Linz.
Officials said 11 people were taken to hospital with various injuries.
Another six with minor injuries were treated at the scene.
After the collision the vessel was able to continue cruising.
There has been no word yet on the extent of the injuries or the cause of the power failure.
