Shining a light on Arkansas at Christmas
The Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights is shining brightly and is on until the year-end as part of state-wide celebration of the holiday season.
Towns right across the Natural State are taking part with events and activities.
Displays in many locations will be lit into the new year, offering a fun way to hit the road and explore a state relatively few international travellers get to see. From Little Rock to Texarkana, each Arkansas town showcases its own unique Southern charm at Christmas.
Conway
Conway’s favourite Christmas tradition is back this year. The Conway Christmas Tree will be lit up in Rogers Plaza with a host of various activities. Chick-fil-A Illuminate kicked-off on Saturday, November 27 with the lighting of the Christmas Tree, musical performances, pictures with Santa and of course the giant Ferris Wheel. Additionally, there are several special activities taking place outside of Rogers Plaza.
Gurdon
Southern hospitality and Christmas lights abound in this historic timber town. Don’t miss the lighted parade. The mysterious hovering ‘Gurdon Light’ phenomenon adds to the atmosphere for visitors at Christmas.
Huntsville
Huntsville Hometown Christmas lights up the Historic Huntsville Square w. Downtown merchants will be open late for evening shopping. Enjoy Santa; the children’s train; choirs singing; refreshments and more. It also boasts the Huntsville Christmas Parade, one of the largest in Northwest Arkansas.
