A joint marketing agreement aimed at boosting visitor numbers to Sydney has been signed by Singapore Airlines and Tourism New South Wales.
They have each agreed to commit A$300,000 per year over three years to fund marketing programmes.
They will jointly explore and implement activities to promote tourist traffic to New South Wales, using SIA services between Singapore and Sydney.
Sydney was the first city in the airline’s route network to receive the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the Airbus A380, in October 2007.
Major markets for tourist arrivals into New South Wales include the Middle East, India, China, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Germany, the UK, France and Russia.
SIA runs 92 weekly flights to five cities in Australia. These include 28 frequencies a week to Sydney, 21 to Melbourne, 19 to Brisbane, 17 to Perth and seven to Adelaide.
