Silver lining for Helen Wong’s guests
In the lead-up to next year’s silver anniversary celebrations, China tour specialist Helen Wong’s Tours has launched a new marketing and trade advertising campaign which points out to travel agents and consumers that there’s “Only One Helen Wongâ€.
“Helen was the first to introduce Australian groups to what was a mysterious China,†said Helen Wong’s Tours marketing manager, Jason Sacriz.
“That was 24 years ago, and the company is still showcasing this vast fascinating country, albeit with a much more extensive programme.
“And, yes, Helen is still very much ‘hands on’ in her approach to finding and showcasing new features,†he said.
The new campaign comes on the heels of a historic moment for Helen Wong’s Tours, where the company was presented with a plaque commemorating 200,000 visitors to Shanghai.
Vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, Shen Shanzhou, was in Australia to make the milestone presentation to Ms Wong.
The latest initiative also follows Helen Wong’s Tours’ release of its 2011-2012 China programme.
A luxury ocean cruise programme which spans to Alaska, guaranteed balcony cabins on Yangtze River cruises and tour savings of up to $800 per person are a feature of Helen Wong’s Tours’ 84-page brochure.
