Silver Spirit inaugural world cruise unveiled

Details of the debut world cruise by Silversea’s new ship Silver Spirit in 2011 have been announced.
Departing Los Angeles on January 19, the 540-passenger vessel will embark a 119-day voyage covering 60 destinations in 25 countries.
The trip includes with 11 overnight port visits before concluding in Southampton on May 19.
Destinations covered include French Polynesia, Australia, Asia, Egypt, Italy, Monaco, Spain and Portugal.
Fares start at £39,218per person, based on double occupancy.
Exclusive events for passengers include visits to Australian wine producers; a Thai-themed gala dinner, staying overnight a private wing of the five-star Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok; a traditional souk in Dubai; dinner in the Arabian desert; and a private opening of Barcelona’s Picasso Museum.
