Singapore Airlines launches at home bag check-in for London departures
Singapore Airlines passengers on departing London flights can now make use of a seamless luggage home collection service.
It is available to travellers departing on Singapore flights from London Heathrow Terminal 2.
They must reside within the M25.
This is expected to be extended to locations further afield after the summer period.
Singapore Airlines’ customers can book a collection slot up to 12 months in advance, and until 24 hours before their London flight, via the AirPortr website.
Luggage will be picked up from the customer’s address during the booked time slot after they have checked in online.
Upon pickup, AirPortr drivers check all boarding passes and passports and proceed by sealing and photographing the luggage.
Once luggage is taken to the airport, it is checked in and the customer will be notified via text.
Prices start from £28 for one bag pickup from central London or £33 for two.
Full details of the AirPortr luggage pickup is available online.
