Singapore, Indonesia to open ‘reciprocal green lane’ travel corridor
Singapore and Indonesia have agreed to restart cross-border travel.
Applications for a ‘reciprocal green lane’ will begin on 26 October, allowing for essential travel for citizens of both countries.
Traveller must use the green lane by air between Singapore Changi and Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta, or by sea between Tanah Merah Terminal and Batam Centre Ferry Terminal.
Indonesians travelling to Singapore must apply in advance for a Safe Travel Pass.
All travellers in both directions must be sponsored by a business or government entity.
"It is important to re-establish connectivity with key economic partners such as Indonesia to maintain Singapore’s continued viability as a key business and transport hub," said Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
All travellers must have negative pre-departure and post-arrival Covid-19 swab tests
