Las Vegas was the best bet when LastMinute Travel named its top hot spots being booked for Memorial Day Weekend.

Miami was in second place, followed by San Francisco and Orlando. Chicago was No. 5, followed by Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Juan.

“Whether it is a weekend away with friends or a family vacation, travelers can take advantage of unbeatable deals coast to coast while staying at three-, four- and five-star properties of illustrious brands such as the Trump Collection, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels,” the site says.

Examples cited included a 5-star Las Vegas hotel starting at $129/night; a 4-star hotel in Orlando starting at $81/night; and a 3-star hotel in Los Angeles starting at $50/night.

The site also says families might want to know LastMinute offers 30 hotels within the Orlando area that have prices as low as USD$39 for a 3.5-star property.
