Six airlines to operate KL- Singapore VTL flights
Six different airlines will operate designated VTL flights between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.
The vaccinated travel lane (VTL) scheme kicks off on November 29.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said VTL will be operated by Singapore Airlines and its low cost brand Scoot, AirAsia, Malindo, Jetstar Asia and Malaysia Airlines.
Initially, there will be six daily flights on the VTL route and SIA said it will operate 10 VTL services a week.
Passengers will need to apply for a vaccinated travel pass to enter Singapore, and applications open next week.
All arrivals are required to use the TraceTogether mobile app in Singapore for contact tracing, CAAS said.
The Singapore-Kuala Lumpur route is one of the world’s busiest with about 40 flights daily flights before Covid.
SIA and Malaysia Airlines announced they would restart their codeshare arrangement on the Singapore to Kuala Lumpur route.
