Six arrested in holiday park murder inquiry
Six people were arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man at a Sussex holiday park.
An altercation took place at Parkdean Resorts, Camber Sands at the weekend.
The victim was named as 58-year-oldMichael McDonagh.
“Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 58-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,” Sussex Police said.
“Police have arrested six people on suspicion of murder.”
“Our investigation is at a very early stage, but I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident with no wider risk of harm,” said Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team.
Parkdean Resorts offered £100 compensation to guests who had activities cancelled due to the on-site police investigation.
