Six Flags St. Louis offering guests cash to spend the night in a coffin
Six Flags St. Louis has a particularly creepy challenge for its landmark Halloween scare-fest this year – spend the night in a coffin and take home $300.
It’s all part of the theme park’s 30 Years of Screams, and six plucky people will be chosen to brave a nonstop 30-hour stint inside a coffin.
This morbid test of endurance takes place from 1pm on Saturday, October 13 until 7pm the following day.
As well as a cash prize of $300, the winner will receive two 2019 gold season passes, a Fright Fest prize package, and other park ride perks.
If more than one endures the full 30-hour coffin sleep-over, the cash prize will be awarded to one after a drawing is made.
The best perk of all? The winner gets to keep the coffin.
Participants must stay enclosed in their tomb for the duration except for a designated restroom break every hour.
The park will provide all food and drink to participants and a charging station for their phones, presumably so they can live-tweet the near-death experience.
Unsurprisingly, all must sign a waiver, be 18 years old or above and be small enough to fit into the two feet by seven feet coffin.
