Six Flags to build three new parks in China
Theme park operator Six Flags plans to expand further in China.
Together with partner Riverside Investment Group it announced a licensing agreement for three Six Flags-branded parks in Nanjing.
It will have separate theme, water, and adventure parks within a single ‘multi-million dollar entertainment complex’ and is expected to begin opening in 2021.
The Six Flags Adventure Park will feature high adrenaline activities including motocross races, white water rafting and zip lining.
The theme park and waterpark will have water slides, rollercoasters, and themed sections based on Chinese and American traditions.
"Six Flags and Riverside have a shared vision to develop multiple parks throughout China, with offerings tailored to every member of the family. The Nanjing parks, like their sister properties in China and North America, will have a distinctive look and feel with one-of-a-kind experiences that will only be available at those locations," said Six Flags International Development Company president, David McKillips.
