SKI: Beat the sliding pound with these last-minute ski trips

With the pound hitting a 12-month low against the euro, you’ll need to track down some bargains to keep your clients happy this winter. Here are some of the latest offers for March ski trips, but remember to check out our weather report before booking last minute trips.

  • Ski Total is offering savings of £100pp on a ski trip to Val Thorens, the highest resort linked to the vast skiing of the Three Valleys. A week is now £819pp for catered chalet accommodation in the centre of the resort, departing from Gatwick on March 3. The price includes three days free ski hosting.
  • Family specialist Esprit Ski is offering Chalet Fitzroy in Arcs 2000 for £419pp, down from £792pp, for departures from Gatwick, also on March 3. The cost for a family of four is £1,676 including flights, transfers, catered accommodation and three days free ski hosting
  • Neilson has knocked £110pp off a seven-night ski trip to the Italian resort of Livigno, great for beginners, intermediates and families. A seven night self-catering break starts at £315pp for departures from Gatwick on March 16, a saving of £110pp.
  • Alternatively, the operator has a seen in Geilo in Norway from £349pp, including catered chalet accommodation. It’s not by any means a cheap destination, but the price represents a saving of £320pp.
  • Other offers from Neilson include a week self-catering in Soldeu in Andorra from £249pp departing on March 24,  a saving of £106pp, or a week half-board in Sestriere, Italy, for £475pp, a saving of £60pp for departures on March 24.
  • Ski Independence has four nights for the price of three at the family-run Hotel du Golf in Villars from £456pp B&B, including flights and rail ransfers. It also has up to 44% off accommodation at the Fairmont Chateau in Whistler, Canada, up to three free nights at the Delta Whistler Village Suites  and savings of up to £150pp of Air Canada flights.
  • Alternatively it is offering up to 25% off self-catering accommodation in high altitude resorts in the French Alps, including Val Thorens and Belle Plagne.
