Ski Club buys adventure specialist

The Ski Club has acquired specialist mountain adventure company Mountain Tracks.

"The two companies will continue to operate under their respective brand names as continuity is important to all of our customers," said Frank McCusker, chief executive of the Ski Club of Great Britain.

"Our members now have even more opportunity to experience truly unique adventures on snow."

The Ski Club has run a holiday programme since the 1970s, featuring skiing weeks and weekends providing inspirational group holidays matching skiers of a similar ability.

Mountain Tracks was set up by Nick Parks in 2000 and runs off-piste skiing holidays, hut-to-hut ski tours, mountain and avalanche awareness training courses.

In the summer season it offers high altitude glacier trekking and alpine mountaineering.

"This is a really exciting development for Mountain Tracks. I believe our winter programme ideally complements Ski Club Freshtracks’s and gives us the opportunity to offer our customers new adventures both in summer and winter," said Parks.
