Ski package goes for the gold

Saturday, 11 Oct, 2011 0

Guess what? Ski season is here. And while ski packages often don’t differ a lot but the Sky Lodge in Park City perhaps has a new wrinkle: “Train Like an Olympian.”

“Guests who choose the package can select from a number of Olympic winter activities—including cross country skiing, downhill, and bobsledding,” says a Lodge news release.

“Since these Olympian-inspired sessions will work all muscles to the core, the 'Train Like an Olympian' package includes breakfast at Easy Street each day as well as a massage at the Japanese-inspired Amatsu Spa," it adds.

Guests can then retreat for a soak in their private hot tub on the deck of their suite. The 33-luxurious suites command spectacular views of Old Town and the surrounding mountain-scape, and range in size from one to three-bedrooms each. Standard features include grand-entry foyers and  living areas with fireplaces.

The “Train Like an Olympian” package starts at US$485.99 per night, based on double occupancy, and includes a 50-minute Signature Massage at the property’s Amatsu Spa as well as breakfast for two, daily.

Olympic Park activities and surrounding property camps/lessons are available to book through The Sky Lodge concierge service, with costs varying depending on activities booked. A minimum of four nights is required and some blackout dates apply. The “Train Like an Olympian” package will be available through April 2012.
