Ski route added by Jet2.com
Ski flights from Newcastle to the French Alps are being added by Jet2.com this winter.
The airline is to serve Chambery from December 16 from the North East airport with prices starting at £21.99 one-way including taxes. More than 30 ski resorts are within an hour’s drive of Chambery including Courchevel, Les Arcs and Meribel.
The airline is offering pre-bookable ski and snowboard hire, accommodation and transfers through a ski website www.jet2.com/ski.
Chambery will be served twice a week and is the eighth Jet2.com route from Newcastle. Four flights a week will run over the busy Christmas-New Year period until January 7.
Meanwhile, the airline is to fill the void left by Alitalia withdrawing from the Manchester-Milan route this winter. Jet2.com will run four flights a week from October 29 with fares starting at £24.99 one-way.
