SkyWest orders more E175 jets
SkyWest has confirmed an order for 20 more E175 jets from Brazilian plane maker Embraer.
The latest order is in addition to SkyWest’s purchase of 25 E-Jets announced a month ago.
The deal is worth about $941 million at current list prices, Embraer said.
It comprises five standard 76-seat E175s and 15 of newly-designated E175-SC (special configuration), which has just 70 seats.
The five E175s will go to work on SkyWest Airlines-operated Alaska Air routes while SkyWest will fly the 15 E175-SC jets for Delta Air Lines.
Aircraft will be delivered through the end of 2018.
