SME’s to benefit from Carlson deal
Carlson Wagonlit has joined forces with the Royal Bank of Scotland in a deal it claims will benefit small and medium size businesses.
The agreement will see CWT combine its Corporate Select service – which offers at-a-glance access to travel arrangements – with the bank’s onecard payment solution which enables travel managers to view their travel spend online.
Royal Bank of Scotland cards business managing director Iain Clink said: “This has to be the way forward for small and medium businesses – integrating business travel services and card payments to reduce costs.”
CWT director of sales in the UK Simone Buckley said it intends to step up the marketing of Corporate Select, which is designed to cut through the myriad of online deals and access the best deals.
“There is so much travel content on the Internet we are convinced that cost-conscious companies are having real problems finding the best deals,” she said. “At the same time, UK companies are growing at a rate which means travellers have even less time to negotiate the online minefield.”
