Some new places to party on the island
The Island Black Pearl nightclub opened in January this year and has been a big hit with tourists and islanders alike. The former Blue Diamond Cinema has been transformed into Montego Bay’s newest “hip spot”. The new facility boasts two floors and offers a fusion of African, European, Middle Eastern, North American and Caribbean vibes to create a unique ambiance.
It has a 920-square foot main dance floor, laser light shows and giant-size screens on the roof of the club. The Island Black Pearl will also soon feature the largest saltwater Aquarium in Jamaica showcasing several species of exotic marine life from around the world. Another great place to party is Fiction, Jamaica’s new hip lounge and club where guest DJs spin a medley of reggae, alternative and house music. Fiction is located at the Market Place on Constant Spring Road in Kingston and has three VIP booths (including a Johnnie Walker Lounge) that are available for groups. The Club also boasts one of Jamaica’s best chefs, Sara Mair, who was featured on the TV series, Top Chef, on the US Bravo network last year.
