Something to sleep on……………………………
Stay247.com is set to give the larger players in on-line, last minute accommodation a huge nudge as they launch onto the Australian market.
While lastminute.com and Wotif offer beds up to 28 days out, the accommodation offered on stay247.com can be secured up to four months out.
According to Managing Director, Brent Cooper, “Discount advance accommodation rates can now be purchased at the same time as advance discount air travel.”
With over 400 hotels already signed up, Cooper has his eyes set on larger targets. “We’ll be in New Zealand soon and we have plans for further global expansion” he said at The Melbourne Press Club last week.
In an industry which has so vigorously embraced technology and on-line consumer solutions, the emergence of organisations such as stay247.com is not surprising. Their entry into the Australian marketplace, with their unique point of difference in offering accommodation four months out will be well received at both consumer and hotelier levels.
