Southwest and ATA to expand code-share
Southwest Airlines will code-share with ATA Airlines on connecting flights through Las Vegas to cities as Honolulu, Seattle and West Palm Beach, Fla., beginning Aug. 4.
This is an expansion its ATA partnership with that began in February with connecting service in Chicago and later expanded to Phoenix.
Southwest estimates that it will make an incremental $50 this year from selling tickets on ATA flights.
The code-sharing deal was part of Southwest’s acquisition of six gates at Chicago Midway Airport from ATA, which was under bankruptcy protection reported the Associated Press.
