Sovereign launches TV ad

Sovereign has launched its first ever multi-channel TV campaign in London and the Home Counties.

The ad was created by award winning London-based communications agency, SomeOne, and plays on holidaymakers’ common pre-holiday fears of unexpected elements that could ruin their trip

The spot depicts a series of apparently perfectly luxurious locations blighted by annoying sound effects such as building works, low flying jets, road noise and even local livestock.

Award-winning British actress Hermione Norris of Spooks fame provides the voiceover, saying "Sovereign has been finding luxury holidays for over 40 years, so we know it only takes one thing to ruin them." She adds, "We visit every destination to make sure it’s perfect for you".

The ad will first air today, in the London area, and will subsequently feature in programme breaks on Channel 4, ITV, selected Sky channels and VOD services.

It was written by Simon Manchipp and directed by Simon Warren at Sorted.tv. Media buying was handled by RAPP Media.
