Barcelona airline Spanair has boosted its UK sales team to push its first two Scottish routes that it is launching this summer.
The Farringdon-based team now includes sales manager Giovanni Cardillo and sales support executive Eduardo E Lopez Ortiz who will help promote Spanair’s Edinburgh to Barcelona service that runs five times a week and its thrice weekly Edinburgh to Madrid route.
The routes are operated by two-class 168-seat Airbus A320s.
International sales manager Yolandas Sanz said: “Spanair’s goal is to connect Barcelona with the world and connect the world with Barcelona, and make Barcelona’s airport an intercontinental flights hub by 2012.
"Our vision is to consolidate our operation to become the first Spanish network airline with full-service flights from Barcelona and as the second biggest airline operating from Madrid.”
