Spirit Airlines pilot suspended after arrest for stalking
A Spirit Airlines pilot has been taken off duty after being charged with stalking.
Dominic A Cipolla, 40, was arrested while at work at New Orleans Airport, accused of stalking offenses in Kansas.
He is facing charges relating to the stalking of two different people according to court records.
The victims are thought to both be minors.
He posted bail and is facing a first court appearance next week.
The airline said it was ‘aware of a matter involving a pilot at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport … unrelated to the performance of their job duties.’
“The pilot was removed from duty pending our investigation into the matter,” an airline spokesperson said.
“We arranged for another pilot to operate the flight.”
Cipolla is a resident of Kansas City, Missouri.
