The carrier has established a joint venture with Japanese real estate management firm Sun Frontier Fudousan to roll out the Spring Sunny Hotel brand.

There are plans to launch about 20 hotels in Japan over the next five years with the first in Nagoya expected to open in early 2016.

Other locations include Tokyo and Osaka and other cities on Spring Airlines’ route map.

Hotel design and amenities will be aimed at the Japanese market with traditional Japanese rooms featuring tatami mats and large family suites for up to four guests.
