Visitors can continue skiing into the warmer months, with the resort expected winter activities to continue until the end of May.

Mammoth Lakes, in California’s High Sierras, has enjoyed an epic ski season and it’s not over yet. The resort is expected to remain open for winter activities until the end of May so visitors can enjoy the slopes long after other resorts close. Alongside enjoying the resort’s snow conditions visitors can experience more springtime activities, enjoying the areas lakes and trails, hiking, mountain biking, paddle boarding, and kayaking.
Hit the slopes and hit the lake
Dubbed ‘Fishmas’ the last Saturday of April each year marks the opening of fishing season in Mammoth Lakes. Anglers can enjoy the winter fishing spots, which are open year-round, then head up to the Eastern Sierra for the first day back out at the favorite seasonal spots.
Movie nights
From May 21-25 Mammoth Lakes hosts five days of independent narratives, documentaries and shorts produced by well-known and up-and-coming names in the film industry. Perfect for film buffs or just a night at the movies. Buy tickets for individual screenings, or a movie pass for up to 15 screenings. In addition to a packed schedule of films, the weekend includes filmmaker parties where visitors can meet some of the creatives behind the productions.
