Spurs striker tapped to promote Korea tourism
The Korea Tourism Organisation has scored the services of Tottenham Hotspur striker Son Heung-min as honorary tourism ambassador.
‘Sonny’ will be the public face of KTO’s new promotional content to be released later this year which includes a creative video advertisement with the theme ‘This is my Korea, what’s yours?’.
The concept is to draw a comparison between the characteristics the star striker is famous for – such as being fast, passionate and fun-loving – with the characteristics of his home country, South Korea.
The video will be uploaded to the Korea Tourism Organisation social media channels alongside various promotional images and behind the scenes content
The KTO has high expectations for the partnership as tourism recovers, and hopes its new tourism ambassador will inspire more people to choose Korea for their next trip.
