Starwood appoints global sales VP
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Alison Taylor as Senior Vice President of Starwood’s Sales Organization.
Replacing Christie Hicks who stepped down in March, Taylor has overall responsibility for business-to-business sales strategy and leading Starwood’s 5,000-strong global sales team.
"I am thrilled to take on this new opportunity and will leverage my broad experience and deep connections with customers and within Starwood to grow our groups and meetings business and enhance our corporate, leisure and group segmentation strategies," said Taylor, a 25-year Starwood veteran.
Taylor previously developed the Starwood Sales Organization in Asia Pacific and digital marketing and revenue management functions.
Hailing from Australia, Taylor has worked in six countries in the Asia Pacific region.
She gained a business degree in hotel management and marketing from Victoria University, Melbourne.
