Strike action forces Heathrow Express to scale back services
Strike action over the bank holiday weekend has forced Heathrow Express to cut back services from today.
The rail union RMT has called a further wave of strike action over pay, jobs and safety concerns.
ԬFollowing a 48-hour strike last month, it has instructed Heathrow Express members not to book on for any shifts between 03.00 hours on Friday until 02.59 hours on Saturday and from 03.00 hours on Monday until 02.59 hours on Tuesday.
It means that today and on Monday (May 26), trains will run between Heathrow and Paddington every 30 minutes, rather than every 15 minutes,
Trains from Paddington to Heathrow will depart at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour between 05:40 and 22:25.
Trains from Heathrow to Paddington will depart at 12 and 42 minutes past the hour between 06:12 and 22:12.
Trains from Heathrow Terminals 1&3 to Paddington will depart at 18 and 48 minutes past the hour.
There will be an additional train at 05:57.
A revised, half-hourly transfer service between Terminals 1&3 and Terminal 4 will be in operation.
Heathrow Connect will not operate at all.
Normal Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect services will run on Saturday and Sunday (May 24 and 25)
"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the RMT strike action," said Heathrow Express.
