Strong Andaman enquires at TTM 2006
Tourism products and destinations operators from Thailand’s Andman region still attracted buyers and media members from around the world during the Thailand Travel Mart 2006 held in Bangkok last week, despite following hard on the footsteps of the recent coup.
Tourism Authority of Thailand Phuket local office director Suwalai Pinpradap, who oversees Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi, said 210 buyers or tour agents plus more than 60 media representatives worldwide participated in the tourism trade show, held last week in Bangkok.
83 businesses from the Andaman region varying from hotel accommodation, spas to golf courses and health tourism operators exhibited their products.
After the event, some oversease tour agents and media representatives made inspection trips to the Andaman region including trips to Khao Lak, health tourism places and marinas.
