Summer scorcher predictions make Hoseasons calls soar
Hoseasons saw its enquiries jump by 53% on the day the Met Office predicted this summer was going to be a scorcher.
Last Thursday, the Met Office said the UK was “odds-on for a barbecue summer”, with temperatures likely to be warmer than average and topping 30°C at times.
That day, Hoseasons saw its enquiries soar, and over the whole bank holiday weekend calls were 44% up.
“In an already buoyant year for UK holidays, the Met office prediction has meant our phones have been as hot as the summer is predicted to be,” said business development Director Pali Badwal.
“Once again we are advising travel agents to encourage their customers to book early for the UK this summer, otherwise they face disappointment as many areas are already starting to sell out across the peak weeks.”
