Summit different – Travel Japan by H.I.S releases Mount Fuji climbing tour
Travel Japan by H.I.S has released a new package offering the opportunity to hike to the summit of famous Mount Fuji, at 3,776 metres Japan’s highest peak and one of the country’s best known symbols.
Highlights of the two-night ‘Mount Fuji Walking Tour’ include a one-night stay in a mountain hut complete with dinner.
Walkers leave the hut early the next morning to make the final ascent to the peak to view the sunrise while enjoying a traditional Japanese ‘bento box’ breakfast.
Priced from AUD310* per person, the tour includes dinner, breakfast and overnight mountain hut accommodation and coach transportation to Mount Fuji from the outer Tokyo suburb of Shinjuku.
The tour operates throughout Japan’s summer months of July, August and September.
An alternative, one-day ‘Mount Fuji Hiking Tour’, priced from AUD198* per person and inclusive of a picnic lunch and return transfers, operates between September and November.
*Conditions apply.
