Sunsail adds watersports resort

A new watersports resort in Turkey is being added by activity operator Sunsail for next summer.

The First Choice-owned company will have four resorts in the country with the opening of Club Phokaia, an hour from Izmir on the Aegean coast.

The property has 174 rooms and can accommodation 400 people and will open following a winter refurbishment programme which includes the building of children’s club nurseries and facilities for teenagers.

A health and beauty area, two bars, and bach snak bar and two new tennis courts will also be added to the site which is set on an 800-metre private beach.

Sunsail clubs activity and watersports resorts and flotillas managing director Matt West said: “We have looked long and hard to find a hotel with the right mix of facilities that will enable our customers to enjoy both top quality shore-side accommodation and the full range of activities that we now offer at our resorts.”

The company has eight beach clubs – four in Turkey, three in Greece and one in Antigua.
