A Reuters report says that beachside swimming pools are no longer enough of a draw for family vacations so resorts are also adding golf for all ages, spas, and gourmet food, according to an annual survey of family-friendly resorts.

The results of Travel + Leisure magazine’s 7th annual readers’ survey of family-friendly resorts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean came up with a list of the top 50 resorts that is being published in its fall issue and online, with South Carolina’s Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort topped the list.

“We were happy to see that many of these mega-hotels are making heroic efforts to lessen their impact on the environment,” said Travel + Leisure’s Editor-in-Chief Margot Guralnick.
