Swedish unions to support Danish strikes against Ryanair
Swedish unions have threatened to join a Danish strike against Ryanair, which has already seen the airline pull its base at Copenhagen.
Sweden-based trade unions Seko and ST said it ‘felt natural’ to support the Danish unions, who are planning to strike from July 18.
The strike is part of a long-running dispute between Ryanair and the Danish unions, who want the airline to enter into collective agreements.
A Danish Labour Court recently ruled that unions could take industrial action against the Irish airline at Copenhagen.
The decision prompted Ryanair to announce that it will move its one Copenhagen-based aircraft to Kaunas Airport in Lithuania from next week.
