Swiss airline boss steps down
The boss of Swiss International Air Lines has quit, it was reported today. Chief executive Andre Dose is stepping down with immediate effect, according to the Financial Times. The newspaper reported that the move came after he learnt that public prosecutors were likely to open proceedings against him for his role in an air crash involving a Crossair aircraft which led to the loss of 24 passengers near Zurich in 2001. Mr Dose reportedly told the Financial Times: “The accusations against me are groundless.” Former KLM chief executive Pieter Buow is to succeed Mr Dose.
