Sydney STO’s Say Thank You to the Travel Industry
It was sleigh bells in the Sky Lounge of the Sydney Tower last night as the State Tourism Offices in Sydney thanked industry partners for their support throughout the year with Christmas drinks and canapés.
Around 120 trade marketing executives, marketing managers and other senior travel staff attended the event which is the major annual function of the SPO.
The STO is an informal organisation of Sydney-based tourism representatives of Canberra, the Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.
Pictured right, standing before a new “Share Our Story” tourism poster, Tamara Pidcock, Partnership Marketing Coordinator, Tourism NT, toasted industry partners at the STO Christmas Party last night.
While the group joins together for an annual Christmas function members of the organisation meet on a quarterly basis in Sydney to exchange information, review marketing strategies and discuss trends in the tourism industry.
Interestingly Tourism New South Wales managed to organise and event on the same night! We went with six rather than one!
A number of industry events took place last night, including the STO and TNSW evetns with Hong Kong and Italy, all presumably targetting the same audience?
