Sydney to Paris via Paradise
Australians have a brand new route to Paris, with Air Austral announcing its Sydney – Reunion Island – Paris (Charles de Gaulle) service effective 14 April 2009.
Reunion, often referred to as the world’s most secret tropical paradise, is located 130 km south west of the coast of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.
The tropical island is the furthest overseas region of France, and home to the French airline company of the Indian Ocean, Air Austral.
The twice weekly flights will be operated with a brand new Boeing 777-300 aircraft, with three full service classes: Club Austral (Business Class), Confort Class (Premium Economy) and Loisir Class (Economy), with 384 seats.
The Paris-bound flights will avoid peak morning congestion, scheduled to depart Sydney at 12:10 on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and arrive in Paris at 05:30 Wednesday and Sunday.
Return flights are scheduled to depart Paris at 22:50 Wednesdays and Saturdays, for arrival in Sydney 06:05 Friday and Monday mornings.
Both directions are subject to Government approval.
The route will also continue on to Noumea in both directions.
Attractively priced inaugural fares from Sydney to all destinations on the Air Austral network will be announced shortly.
Air Austral has been in operation since 1975, and has an impeccable operational record and an on time performance among the best in the world.
Air Austral is represented by World Aviation Systems, part of the Stella Travel Services Group in both Australia and New Zealand.
