TravelMole’s Graham McKenzie survived a late charge from the field as he defended his 41 point total at Ifield Golf Club in West Sussex.
First out in the morning in a field of 30 golfers McKenzie recorded a high stableford score but had to wait till the final golfer was in to know his fate.
E-Tid’s Giles Harper never came close with 22 points and despite his nearest the Pin consolation.
Angus Chisholm from C&M recruitment failed to impress.
In the end it was down to Ray Grainger who came closest with 39 points.
He, alongside Dave Clare and Paul Hills, took the team prize while Mark Riddle, of Newmarket Holidays, took the longest drive by some considerable distance.
Ifield provided a stern test to all of the golfers and afterwards the reward was some catering of the highest standard.
Steve Entrecote, of On-Holiday Group, said: "I enjoyed the course and even more the food afterwards.I came back for seconds and thirds"
TAGS next outing is at Hanbury Manor on September 28. Full details of past and forthcoming events can be found at www.tagsonline.org.
