Take a cruise, complete your scrapbook
Cruise lines in the past have aimed their appeal at passengers looking for fine food, lively entertainment and often exotic stopovers. But now would-be passengers are being wooed by scrapbooks.
Scrapbook cruises are catching on, say industry observers. Princess Cruises is only one of several cruise lines getting into that area.
Scrapbook cruises offer workshops, classes and prizes. They offer to teach participants the latest scrap booking techniques as well as the usual jaunts to tropical beaches and shopping in duty-free areas.
Some cruises are offering private rooms available for 24-hour non-stop scrapbook activity.
Many scrapbook cruises feature goodie bags and complimentary amenities such as private cocktail parties, formal photos, shipboard credits and even special shore excursions.
Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Carnival Cruise Line are among those offering cruises.
Scrapbook Cruises, a division of Days Off Travel, is a popular source for booking and claims to offer more related cruises than any other travel outlet.
