Take a cruise, get a makeover
It’s hardly unusual for cruisers to come back home carrying extra pounds but Crystal Voyages has a new offer: return from a vacation with a head-to-toe makeover.
”On Crystal Cruises’ two 2010 Fashion & Style Experiences of Discovery voyages, veteran hair, makeup, and fashion professionals share their ‘tricks of the trade’ and expand the personal complimentary services at Crystal’s Style Desk,” the company says.
The cruises promise one-on-one consultations, runway-style fashion shows, insights on the influence of European fashion, and fashion-focused films of the “glamour quotient.”
The two trips include the Crystal Serenity’s June 6 “Culture & Couture” cruise from Barcelona to Athens and September 29 “Fashion Capitals” itinerary from Venice to Monte Carlo.
The cruises include hair and make-up style laboratories, fashion advice and various presentations.
“The innate style and glamour of the Mediterranean provides an inspiring locale from which to explore one’s own style, as well as to celebrate memorable European fashion,” said Christopher Escamilla, Crystal’s entertainment coordinator.
With two-for-one rates, per person (double occupancy) cruise fares start at $5,045 or $5,640 for the nine- or 12-day cruises, respectively – including $1,000 per person “All Inclusive –AsYou Wish” shipboard spending credits and free air transportation from more than 20 North American gateways.
