Take a Shortcut to the Moon Deck Suites
The opening of a new motorway last month that bypasses Bangkok and cuts 45 minutes off the travel time between Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Hua Hin means that the popular beachside playground is another stopover option for Australian travellers.
Mr Srayat Ekahitanonda, General Manager made the remarks on Monday during a multimedia presentation in Sydney to introduce the 40 room Let’s Sea Hua Hin Al Fresco Resort.
Located on 2 acres of prime beachfront property about 2½ hours from the international airport, the 1½ year old boutique hotel is already included in selected Australian wholesale programmes such as Royal Orchid Holidays, he said.
Unique features at the Let’s Sea Hua Hin Al Fresco Resort include a 120 m swimming pool and Moon Deck Suites above Studio Piers.
All guests can utilise the signature services of the resort’s Holiday Host, a position which combines the activities of a concierge, butler and room service attendant to coordinate and plan a customised stay for each guest, he added.
Rack rate tariffs begin from Baht 8888 ($308) for a 48 sq. m Studio Pier which offers guests their own personal pier access to the canal-like swimming pool.
The 68 sq. m Moon Deck Suites have spacious alfresco areas on their roofs where private candle lit dinners and cocktails with great sea views can be arranged, he said.
Gardens separate units for additional privacy and children under 12 years are not allowed.
The resort is ideal as a cosy getaway for couples or an intimate business retreat, said Mr Ekahitanonda.
The focal point of the new resort is the 120 m swimming pool which is the occasional venue for cocktail classes. The resort also offers Thai massage lessons for couples, cooking classes and its own Gaia Spa.
From May 1 – October 31, resort guests flying THAI from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth can present their outbound boarding pass and receive a one-time 50 per cent discount on food and beverage.
Meanwhile, THAI has commenced twice daily non stop services between Bangkok and Samui. The holiday isle in the Gulf of Thailand – the carrier’s 13th domestic destination – is included in the Thailand Airpass.
