Zahara Tours, Oman’s premier Destination and Leisure Management Company, represented in Australia by Nemonic Concepts’ Sue Wallace, has won for the second consecutive year, the prestigious Tourism Venture of the Year Award at the Oman Awards for Excellence.

The award paid homage to Zahara Tours’ all encompassing team performance, which included product innovation and service delivery, providing travellers with touring experiences in Oman.

“We have always strived to provide excellence at any level of service so our organisation is tremendously proud to have received this prestigious award for the third time,” says Gautam Broota, General Manager of Zahara Tours Oman.  “For Zahara Tours to be recognised by our peers tells us we are consistently delivering on our vision to provide the most spectacular selection of programs and experiences to the Arabian Gulf.”

The first travel company to welcome tourists to Oman two decades ago and pioneer mainstream programs, Zahara Tours has long gone out on a limb to meet the needs of its clients.  So well-regarded, the multi-award winning company has delivered a number of innovative incentive programs for leading global brands such as Shell UK, BP – UK, Saab – Sweden, Bayer Health – Germany, Roche – Europe and Citibank , to name a few.

“It is not only an honour to be part of Oman’s successful tourism industry, but be at the forefront of destination innovation is a remarkable achievement.  The award will provide Zahara Tours team strong motivation to continue consolidating our future growth in synchronisation with Oman’s ongoing tourism development,” added Mr Broota.

Capitalising on the burgeoning incentive, leisure and group business from Australasia to the Sultante of Oman, Zahara Tour’s representation company in Australia, Nemonic Concepts, will further strengthen the company’s profile and product delivery in the marketplace through ongoing sales missions, marketing and professional business development education.”

“Nemonic Concepts is thrilled to represent Zahara Tours.  Not only is Oman one of the world’s most exciting and affordable destinations to market but Zahara’s delivery of product – from the luxuriously appointed hotels to the cultural and panoramic experiences – will take take destination marketing to new heights,” says Sue Wallace of Nemonic Concepts.

As a member of the Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE) and having gained excellent exposure at the three previous AIME trade shows, Zahara Tours has already developed a number of incentive programs tailored specifically to the marketplace.  Programs include the scenic wonders of Oman’s Grand Canyon, the Wahiba Sands and the Frankincense Trail, together with Mystical Muscat, ancient forts, villages and cruises – all supported with multilingual tour guides and a fleet of luxury vehicles and coaches.

“Last year Oman saw more than one million visitors experience the Sultanate’s extraordinary coastlines, alluring desert sands and vibrant culture.  And because of its economic stability, infrastructure and easy access with on-line services offered by Emirates, Etihad Airways and Thai International, Zahara Tours is ready to package Oman as one of the world’s premier incentive destinations,” adds Ms Wallace.
