Wine buffs will have the opportunity to enjoy some of Tasmania’s leading wines at September tasting events in Sydney and Brisbane.

More than 100 wines from 28 top producers will be offered which include world class Sparkling and Pinot Noir along with selected highly rated cool climate Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

SYDNEY – Museum of Contemporary Art, Monday the 1st of September 2008

BRISBANE – The City Hall, Wednesday 3rd of September 2008

The event will be open to the public from 4pm to 8pm at a cost of $45 per head. Tasmanian gourmet delights will accompany the wine tasting line up.

There will also be a one hour master class led by Tasmanian wine experts.

The Master class will be held at 6.30pm and will cost $40.00 in both Sydney and in Brisbane.

The master class will be focussing on award winning Pinot Noir from the region and will be conducted by high profile Tasmanian wine makers.

Bookings are necessary as numbers are limited.

Wine Industry Tasmania, the event organiser, is the peak body representing Tasmania’s grape growers and winemakers – working together to promote the island state as a leading producer of premium cool-climate wines.
