TAT rolls out new campaign for female travellers
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has rolled out a new campaign aimed at encouraging female travellers to explore lesser known destinations in the Kingdom.
‘Lady Journey: A Touch of Thainess’ is the latest collaboration in a multiyear partnership with United Overseas Bank to promote the bank’s UOB Lady’s Card.
Focusing on Thai culture and traditional immersive experiences, TAT is showcasing destinations such as Chanthaburi, Kanchanaburi, Phrae, Nan, Satun and Loei.
"Female travellers can go out and discover interesting Thai destinations with their friends, their siblings or their children," said Pataraporn Sithivanich, director of TAT product promotions.
"It’s a way for travelers to get to know more about Thai culture, the Thai way of life and Thai experience – the characteristic that makes Thailand very unique and sets us apart from all other countries."
TAT has also published booklets recommending routes and places of interest in these destinations, available free at TAT offices in Thai and English.
Between May and August 2015 TAT will promote the campaign by conducting five themed trips with Thai female celebrities and media focused on Thai food, traditional arts and crafts and the Thai way of life.
