TC Sport defends England World Cup fans
Thomas Cook has dismissed reports that England fans are not supporting the World Cup team in South Africa.
With just 10 days to go until the start of the tournament, it says it has sold out of packages to the group stages.
With fans expecting the squad to progress deep into the competition, it says packages for the latter stages, right up to the World Cup Final, are selling fast.
Danny Talbot, managing director of Thomas Cook Sport, said, “Despite what you may have read, demand from England fans to follow the team has been fantastic, and we’ve sold out of many packages more than once as we have obtained more tickets.
“Once again, England look set to be one of the best supported teams at the World Cup, with fans rising to the challenge of supporting the team at stadium spread around this vast country.â€
