Teenager found dead after night out in Val D’Isere
A police investigation has been launched after a British teenager was found dead in the French ski resort of Val D’Isere.
The 18-year-old, who was on a package holiday with his parents, went missing after a night out in the resort.
Some online reports have named the deceased as Kieron Flux, from Newport on the Isle of Wight.
The Isle of Wight County Press said tributes had been paid on his Facebook page.
He was last seen leaving a bar at 1.30am on Tuesday morning but did not return to his chalet.
After a major search by police and mountain rescuers, his body was discovered at 2.30pm on Wednesday by a police helicopter.’¨
He was found in the Gorges de la Daille, an isolated spot between the Chevril lake and the La Daille area of the resort.
Police have launched an investigation.
