Teletextholidays.co.uk has appointed Arpit Gupta as customer and marketing director.

Gupta was previously with Microsoft where he looked after the global marketing for Skype.

He was also a key member of the team which developed and launched the first Windows phone worldwide.

Teletext says Gupta also brings with him marketing experience from a range of consumer led brands such as Deloitte, LG & BT.

"He will oversee the complete customer journey within the business, ensuring that the brand delivers on its promise to be the voice of great value travel for the British public and continue the journey to grow the brand and its marketing across digital and mobile channels," it said.

Teletextholidays.co.uk MD Wayne Perks said: "I am delighted to bring Arpit into the business at a time when we are seeing a resurgence in awareness of the Teletext Holidays brand with the British public.

"I am confident that his experience in consumer led digital brands will be a huge asset to us in the next chapter of our growth story."
